CRED has announced a Series H fundraise as part of its acceleration plans. CRED will raise ₹8,550 crore from Meta.
At CRED, member trust is paramount: CRED does not share, sell, or provide access to members’ financial or personal information to any third party without member consent, unless mandated by law.
With this round, Meta joins CRED’s mission as a minority investor and will not receive rights to access CRED’s member data.
Will Meta use CRED data for advertising or ad targeting?
No. Meta does not have access to CRED data, and therefore cannot use such data for advertising or ad targeting.
Will CRED share transaction data with Meta?
No. CRED will not share transaction data with Meta.
Can Meta combine my fintech data with social media data?
No. Meta does not have access to CRED member data, and therefore cannot combine, enrich, match, sync or integrate data with their systems.
Can Meta train AI models on my data?
No. Meta does not have access to CRED data, including member data, financial data, transaction data, behaviour data, support data, or app activity. Meta will not be able to train AI models on CRED data.
Do Meta employees get access to data or dashboards?
No. Meta employees do not have access to financial data, member personal information, production systems, tools, or any other infrastructure.
What information does CRED share with its shareholders?
CRED does not share financial data, member personal information, production systems, tools, or any other infrastructure with shareholders. CRED shares aggregate company-level business information such as revenue, growth, retention, financial performance, risk metrics, and product-level trends.
Does CRED sell its member data?
No. CRED does not sell, transfer, license, or share member data with any third parties. This includes Meta, its affiliates, and employees.
Is there a data-sharing agreement between CRED and Meta?
No. There is no data-sharing agreement between CRED and Meta. There is an investment agreement in which Meta is a passive minority investor with no access to CRED data.
